She'll be comin 'round the mountain...

...with GG and Beau. A week and a half ago GG and Beau took us on Briley's first mountain trip. We went to Brevard, NC and stayed in a cabin at Big Branch. It was a much needed break from city life. We got to see the changing colors of the trees and beautiful waterfalls. On Saturday, we started at Connestee Waterfall. Briley and I were amazed looking down the fall. We then traveled over to Pisgah State Park to take a look at Looking Glass Falls. After that, Amber and I trekked up into Moore's Cove while Briley entertained GG and Beau. Once in the cove, we discovered a quaint, but soothing waterfall. I found a tree to ride back down the mountain - Amber had to think about it a while, but eventually followed. Sunday, we took the winding, scenic route and stopped by Whitewater Falls, the highest in North Carolina. GG and Beau treated us to lunch at The Dillard House before we had to return back to reality. Thank you GG and Beau for an awesome weekend!

Eat More Chikin...or bag.

Holy cow! We had a cute one on our hands for Briley's 1st Halloween! Sara came over and took a few pictures before we ventured out for some trick-or-treating with our neighbors.

Spirit Week & The Pumpkin Patch

I'm not sure whether Briley or I had more fun participating in Spirit Week at her daycare October 22-26. Monday was "Crazy Hat & Sock Day." Tuesday was "Pajama Day." Wednesday was "Mix -n- Match Day." Thursday was "Favorite Sports Team Day." Friday was "Friendly Costume Day." Hopefully, she'll look back at these pictures one day and still love me!

The following Saturday, she took her first trip to the pumpkin patch up at Burt's Farm. GG, Beau, Aunt Paige, Uncle Jerrod and Brock joined us for an adventurous day trip. Burt's is a little ways up north, but well worth the drive. Lots and lots and lots of pumpkins...X-large, large, medium, small and x-small ones! I think the hayride was our favorite part. We even made it over to Amicalola Falls.

Afterwards, we all watched the GA/FL game. How 'bout them DAWGS?!!!! Brock and Briley were great sideline fans. Brock even began living up to his duties of watching out for his little cousin. He's such a sweet little man.
