We had the honor of celebrating the upcoming birth of our daughter twice last week. The first was at a shower given on Jan. 20 by my sister and three friends. I had such a good time and was overwhelmed by all of the great gifts we received for our baby girl. Five days later, my co-workers gave us a shower at my office. There was great food (even her own specialized cake), great decorations and lots of gifts. We were overwhelmed, once again, and extremely grateful. It has been a blessing being able to share our excitement with so many wonderful people.

There will be showers of blessing. Ezekiel 34:26

Mommy's lips, Daddy's nose?
She proved her stubborness first go around at baby's first images by keeping both arms in front of her face. We were sure from all of her rocking and rolling the night before, and the sugar-loaded Mt. Dew I drank prior to our visit that she was ready to show off her pretty face. Weeelll, she wasn't AS stubborn with only one hand and one foot covering the right side of her face this time. We were happy with whatever she would show us. Looks like she has mommy's lips and daddy's nose! Only 7 more weeks until our due date (February 27)...As if we weren't excited enough before this visit! We can't wait to have her in our arms. For anyone who needs help figuring out what you're looking at, here you go!
