Ahhhh, Spring ...

Signs of Spring are everywhere ... The daffodils Mama and I planted in the Fall are blooming in our front yard, which I'm super excited about. They have always been my favorite and bring back sweet memories from my childhood. Mama always had them in her flower beds, and I used to pick them for my teachers. Anyway, the weather has also been beautiful, making it perfect for picnics in the park. So, we took full advantage of the gorgeous Saturday we had today.

We packed up some lunch, grabbed Princess, Puppy, and Spot (a few of Briley's favorite stuffed animals) and headed to a fun park. We also took our soccer ball and two of Briley's ball, but once there, Briley favored the soccer ball. In fact, she handled it like a pro ... talking about impressive coordination. This chick was running while kicking and following the ball like she had been doing it since birth ... and she kept going, and going, and going without falling. Had no idea she had it in her, but her daddy is ready to bring out the tennis racket and balls at this point!
We had such a great time with the picnic, kicking the ball around, throwing rocks into the river and going on a nature walk that we didn't even make it over to the oh-so-big playground area ... she didn't even seem interested! Definitely, next time though. Oh, and to make it even more fun, Aunt Val and Uncle Kyle met us out there. We had such a great afternoon, and after it was all over, Briley was one tired puppy!
