October 13th

I was hanging out with Mama, waiting for Aunt Court and Uncle Casey to get here. They were coming over to play...I was very excited!

8 months...Already?!

Briley turned 8 months on October 4 and boy did she get off to a rocky start. Right after she got over one virus, she got hit by a combination of viruses, just in time for her first Fall Festival at her day care on the 6th. So, instead of joining in on the fun, we moseyed on over to Children's Hospital of Atlanta Urgent Clinic in Austell where we learned the terminology "roseola" and "stomatitis." Although, she didn't have all the symptoms of roseola. So, the doctor was never certain of a diagnosis. Not to worry, though! These little viruses couldn't bring this spunky girl down. Sunday morning, instead of attending Waumba Land at Buckhead Church, she attended Mama and Daddy's Play Den. We also had a great time hanging out with Briley's Great Aunt Marsha (or Auntie YaYa) and cousin, Meredith, who were in town for the weekend. Back to Mama and Daddy's Play Den...She made us laugh, as she, so gracefully, wore Daddy's hat while she played. She wore it well. Even had some playtime with Oti!

Happy 80th, Gram!

On September 27, Briley's Great Gram turned 80 years young. We had the privilege of celebrating the day she was born with the rest of the family that weekend at a restaurant called the Old Inn. But before we did, Briley was able to meet her Great Grandaddy Pounds for the first time earlier in the day. Shortly afterwards, we ran by Gram's and snapped a few action shots with her, and then we were off to visit Brett's cousin, Marcus, his wife Sarah and their ADORABLE son, Braden. He and Briley were only born about a week apart, but he has one up on her! Just one more bodyguard for us!
Later that night, we were off to enjoy a night celebrating with a wonderful family and great food. Briley hung out with her Great Uncle Ray who looked as though he had done this a time or two. She was a trooper, but by the time dinner was over, she was pooped!

The next day was spent hanging out with Raven, Gates, Uncle Trey, Aunt Shonya and the rest of the family.
It was a fun weekend, but like always, it went by way too fast. We miss everyone so much, but we're thankful for any time we're able to spend with them. Brett and I are very thankful for having two wonderful, loving families to surround Briley.
