Harley made her way into the playroom last night. She even left a note on the chalkboard that said, "Thank you for my crackers and water. I love you and Avery! (Heart), Harley P.S. Santa says hello. :)"

2 Month Birthday!

It's hard to believe we're celebrating Avery's 2 month birthday today. Wow. She had a great doctor's appointment, minus the yucky shots. She now weighs 10lbs 11oz (50%), she's 22 1/2 inches long (55%) and her head measurement is 38 1/2 cm (50%). So, she's definitely right where she needs to be! I wanted to take a picture to post from today, but she didn't have the best afternoon/evening. I'm blaming the shots for her irritability. :( Poor sweet baby.

Before Briley went to bed last night, she left crackers and water out in hopes to lure one of Santa's elves. We hear they LOVE crackers because they sound like crunching snow, and water reminds them of melted North Pole snowflakes! When we woke up this morning, we could tell someone had enjoyed themselves, and had left a sweet letter explaining her visit and the true meaning of Christmas, along with some "snowflakes" to sprinkle each night that will bring them to life until morning. But where was Santa's elf? You see, they like playing games, and are known to create a little innocent mischief from time to time. Right before Briley and Daddy packed up to leave for school, they discovered that Harley was waiting in Briley's bag with a tube of mini M&M's ... Briley's favorite!!! :)

We're excited to have her stay with us through Christmas Eve, and look forward to seeing what she has in store for Briley and Avery each morning when we wake ... Should be lots of fun!

Fun Friday!

We took the girls to see Santa today and then to get our Christmas tree. Fun times!!! (I also must add that our day started off by Briley unwrapping 3 out of the 4 gifts I had wrapped yesterday. Curious lil' girl! ;) It's going to be a very fun season, and I can't wait until Christmas morning!)

Thanksgiving on the Farm

We celebrated Turkey Day at the cabin on Davis Farm again this year. We were so thankful that almost (we missed Trey) all of the entire extended family was able to make it, including Grandpa (or Grandpa Cotton as Briley calls him) who was diagnosed with cancer the day before Thanksgiving last year. He made our day extra special sharing his spirit and smiles. The day was full of great company, laughs and yummy food ... a true blessing.
