6 months and counting...

Nonna and Gampy came up for a quick overnight visit on August 3, just in time for Nonna's birthday! We had a fun visit with them...They couldn't get over how much Briley had grown since they last saw her five weeks prior.
On August 9, we had her 6 month check-up which went very well. She was a whopping 13lbs 11oz and had grown an inch! Her weight is in the 20 percentile, length is in the 25 percentile and head is in the 30 percentile. Brett says she gets her head from the Davis side...Apparently, we're known to have some melon heads! The doctor said she's as healthy as can be.
We're having so much fun watching her change from week to week. Her interest in Oti is growing. Earlier in the week, I was taking pictures of her while Oti was sitting in my lap. She got so excited at one point that I was sure she was about to yell out, "Get over here Oti?" She wanted her attention so badly and eventually got it. I'm starting to wonder if "Oti" is going to be her first word! Although, we have started to hear "ma ma ma ma," "da da da da," and "ba ba ba ba" amongst her babble... Very sweet.
We're so easily entertained watching her play, or sleep for that matter. Listening to her cooing and changing tunes (some so high pitched that they've woken up her daddy all the way from downstairs!) is such a sweet background melody that is playing more and more often throughout our house and in our hearts.
