Will I ever catch up on our blog? I'm pretty sure the answer is no because I still haven't posted pictures from Christmas day or even from Briley's birthday party. Avery turned 5 months last Wednesday and I'm just now blogging about her 4 month check-up when I should be finishing some laundry or GOING TO BED! :) On to last months well checks ... Well, first let's review ...
Birth: 5 lbs 15 oz, Height 20 in, Head 12 in
3 days: 5 lbs 10 oz, Height 19 in (Briley had also "shrunk" an inch at her 1st visit with our pediatrician?)
10 days: 6 lbs 3 oz
1 month: 8 lbs 6 oz (35%), Height 20.5 in (30%), Head 36cir (25%)
2 months: 10 lbs 11 oz (50%), Height 22.5 in (55%), 38.5cir (50%)
3 months: 13 lbs 8 oz
4 months: 14 lbs 1 oz (50%), Height 24.75 in (75%), 41cir (90%) (All dem brains!)
We tried rice cereal/ oatmeal the night of her 4 month check-up, but she's been consistently eating it every night for a week now. I also switched up her feedings on Friday from 5 oz every 3 hours to 6 oz every 4 hours. She was slowing up her eating for whatever reason, and this seems to be working pretty well for her??? We'll see how long it'll last. :) She continues to be her smiley, laughy, talkative, squealing and giggly self making us fall more and more in love each day. She's been rolling from back to belly for a few weeks now. Her first time actually happened at her great Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Ray's while we were down in Ocilla/ Fitzgerald to be with Grandpa. I wasn't there, but Brett was, and Phyllis called him into the room just in time to witness this milestone. Her first night of sleeping six hours straight also happened while we were staying at their house for the Paulk Christmas get-together. I'm seeing a trend here! :) Everything seems to be happening so much faster this time around. It really hit me tonight while I was rocking her before putting her to bed. She still fits in my arms, but she has gotten so much bigger than her very first infant days/ weeks. In only a few more months (maybe sooner) she's not going to want to lay there like a baby anymore. *Sigh* I'm trying my best to soak it all up before her 1st birthday gets here. ;)
